NEW TESTAMENT

Acts 15:36

Paul had a problem with taking John Mark on a mission and there was a little contention.
I think this is funny it is mentioned.

Acts 16

They were forbidden to preach word in Asia by the Holy Ghost.
Paul had a vision that a man in Macedonia needed him.
Lydia was baptized.
Paul and Silas get arrested.
They were whipped and sent to jail.
Then there was an earthquake.
The guard thought they'd escaped and wanted to kill himself but Paul said not to cause they were all still there.
The guard was so grateful and was baptized.
They were let go and visited Lydia and then left the city.

Acts 17

They keep doing missionary work.
Many Greeks believed both men and women.
Jews keep coming and stirring up the people.
There was idol worship going on.
Dionysius and Damanris believed and were baptized.
I don't know why this man and woman were specifically mentioned but I wonder if they did something great later on or something?

BOOK OF MORMON

Alma 55

Moroni was upset at this letter in return to his.  He refused to exchange prisoners.  He started making plans to rescue the Nephite prisoners.
Laman sneaked in with wine to the guards and got them so drunk they passed out.
Moroni went in to the city of Gid and gave all the Nephite prisoners weapons in case the guards woke up at any stage.  Then they surrounded all the Lamanites  and they realized it when they woke up in the morning.
Moroni took them prisoner then next day.
He put the Lamanites to work strengthening the city of Gid.
The Lamanites tried to trap them but it never worked.
Moroni then wants to attack the city of Morianton.
I think Moroni has a slight temper.  I like him.  He's also got the back up of the Lord in whatever he does.
Basically you either follow Moroni or you end up dead.
He's so loyal and courageous.
I love him.

ENSIGN

July 2011
Mi Vida, Mi Historia

Latin American Saints stories.
Ursula Binder Brock was called as Primary President at the age of 16!!
Amazing.  Look at the 16 year old in MY ward.  Our kids just don't have to grow up as fast.

DAUGHTERS IN MY KINGDOM

Chapter 5
Charity Never Faileth

Sister Wellst was the 5th Relief Society President and she make this saying 'Charity Never Faileth' used in the programme.
She talked about not hating people during WW1.
The R/S helped other organizations but never forgot to loose sight of theirs being of God and being the most important.
I don't know if we realize our legacy.  This book is teaching me more and more how important the R/S programme is and how valid it is to the Lord.
We don't really get together much to help out the community.
I wonder why?
Too busy.
We help out where we can but it seems like we've slacked off in comparrison to the women back in the early 1900's.
It's a little sad.
